Thanks so much for this review! I am about 1/2 way through it, and may not finish because of the over the top wimpishness of the character of Diane. She and Bella Swan need several years of feminist counseling and the application of extreme antidepressants. I mean, here's a woman that should be physically quite strong, but is continually swooning into the arms of a chilly dead guy. Blech. Why is this sort of dreck so popular now? Is it part of a long-term backlash against feminism? Does it mean that attitudes toward women have not really advanced since about 10,396 BC? Yikes.

First encountered Sandra as the author of rich and disturbing poetry. Strange how an author/publisher who specializes in the dark has created such a bright, creative campfire for the writers and readers of her genre. She produces classy books.

I was there for the opening night and agree with you review. The hype around this made it seem like it was going to be terrifying, but in reality, it was a super fun night at the theater. I wasn't at all disappointed that I didn't have the life scared out of me, because it was just so entertaining and fun. Of course there were a couple jumpy parts, but nothing that really stuck with me. I think what I found the most interesting was that its all stuff we've seen before in your average horror movie, but the fact that it was live really captivated me!
